The Hall was built in 1919 to celebrate the end of World War 1.
It is the focal point of the Littlehampton community, providing a meeting point for in excess of 1700 people each month.
The Hall is in severe need of upgrading to bring it up to modern standards and the projected investment required is of the order of $500,000.

While assistance will be available from the Council and through Government Grants the Board needs to raise up to $200,000 in its own right.
At its April meeting the Board decided that the best way to raise the funds is to bring the community together, entertain them and feed them well.
The 2007 Fire Festival is the first of these events.
